Bonjour, I am Cédric, a Paris enthusiast and a real flaneur at heart, ready to take you on unconventional Paris tours!
My personal take is that our city is too often seen through the prism of art and history only, while contemporary life is booming and waiting for you.
As the founder of Paris B-sides, I want to focus on a little-known Paris that conceals so many surprises. Let me guide you off the beaten track, so you can discover its many facets and soak up local life...

Village-like neighborhoods, hole-in-the-wall places, gastronomy, cultural dynamism, nature and sustainability... with a touch of historical context
Practice your French or experience the famous Anglo-parisian accent... and even some Italian gibberish in option!
Book online with an international platform and flexibility in the payment options
Trust the tour suggestions or tell me about you for a more personalized experience

EXCELLENT Based on 31 reviews Posted on Shannon KaussenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was fortunate to spend two months in Paris last fall and did five of Cédric's tours (in order: the Passages, Buttes aux Cailles, North Petite Ceinture, Arts & Crafts tour & Aligre/Coulée Verte). I did the Passages first on my own and so enjoyed it, that I ended up booking four more in the subsequent weeks of my stay, bringing along my daughter (who just moved to Paris), and, for Buttes aux Cailles, my son & a friend. I can attest to the fact that the younger generation (my guests are all in their early to mid 20's) found wandering with Cédric as educational, insightful & fun (even in the rain) as I did. This was my sixth visit to Paris and my lengthiest stay, so I really wanted to explore "the b-sides" in depth. Thus, Cédric's emphasis on areas oft overlooked by tourists made him the perfect guide. Each tour had surprises built in, even in areas more familiar to me plus, as other reviewers have noted, Cédric is a wealth of information on all things Paris, but, in particular, the history of the city, its architecture and how it has developed into its modern form (as well as current and ongoing redevelopment). One of the most memorable aspects of my tours with Cédric is the conversations we had with various Parisians along the way: an 89 year old artist, still working in her studio in one of the Passages; a woman working in the current incarnation of the Gobelins textile factory; crafts people & visiting artists on fellowship in Romainville; a man standing outside an apartment building in the 12th arr who had an interesting story about a former resident..people we most likely wouldn't have met were it not for Cédric, who is very personable, engaging & witty. In sum, Cédric's tours were the highlight of my stay in Paris and really deepened my knowledge and appreciation of my favorite city. I'm returning to Paris in May 2026 with extended family and greatly looking forward to taking them on a tour (or two or three) with Cédric!Posted on Steve StrockTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I booked a last minute tour of Montmarte with Cedric and had a wonderful time. He is very knowledgeable and taught us a lot, which he balanced with a great sense of humor and levity. We saw a part of the city that we never would have seen on our own and it’s one of the highlights of our trip. We’ll be getting in touch with Cedric again next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!Posted on Rondie LiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. B-side is simply the better side. ❤️ First time visiting Paris, I was quite overwhelmed by everything, even coming from another big city. Many cool attractions can distract us from the interesting details. Cédric truly delivered a tour that helped me learn about this city. I took a tour with my spouse in the 20th arrondissement, which isn't a common suggestion for tourists. It was really fun and left us with the deepest impression of this city!Posted on Stefanie FioreTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our Belleville tour with Paris B-Sides was the highlight of our time in Paris. We loved exploring the neighbourhood’s bustling streets, public art, gardens, and hidden gems while learning how its history shaped the city. Cédric made the experience unforgettable with his warmth, humour, and deep knowledge, expertly dodging the rain and always ready with another engaging story/insight. We would absolutely book another tour on our next trip!Posted on Lauren LongTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I had a wonderful custom private tour with Cedric, who we discovered on Reddit. Despite booking last-minute, he was able to customize a tour that took into account some tricky timing and location constraints. We toured a quaint area of the Latin Quarter I didn't even know existed, the opposite of the tourist traps and crowds associated with the area. We learned a lot and enjoyed Cedric's laid back vibe. Great experience and value.Posted on Mary LiskoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I booked a semi-private tour of the Covered Passages with Cédric initially for Sept 18; due to the strike, we switched it to the 28th. This was a highlight of our trip; we had an absolute blast! Although a semi-private tour, it was only the two of us, so it turned a private tour that lasted almost 3.5 hours (not our doing, we only made one unscheduled pause for a coffee). We meandered our way through the passages, took detours, popped into shops, and learned about the history of the CPs. Our “surprise visit to a historical building” was utterly fantastic and gorgeous! Cédric is very knowledgeable, personable, has a great sense of humor (towers being not round for example), and had wonderful suggestions for where to go later in our trip for hot chocolate (cafe pavane for the win, btw). I very highly recommend booking any of his tours!!Posted on Cynthia R. MendozaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. If you want to experience Paris like a local, I highly recommend that you book a private tour with Cédric at Paris B-sides. He showed us a side of Montmartre that most tourists do not get to see. Our tour with Cédric was the highlight of our trip to Paris. Not only did we see a lot and learn a lot but we got to hang out with Cédric who is a delightful person. His tours are also reasonably priced. Much better prices than other tour operators. I can’t wait to book another tour with him on a future trip to Paris.Posted on Marci BrenholzTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My family and I had an incredible tour with Cedric! He is an extremely knowledgeable, friendly and considerate guide. The tour was a delightful departure from the usual. He led us expertly up to Sacré Couer from the back of the church, as opposed to approaching from the more touristed side, sharing fascinating stories of Montmartre as we went. He kept his conversation interactive and continually responded to the interest and needs of my family, including engaging my 10-year-old. We threw an extra challenge at Cedric when our 70-something-year- old mothers needed to take a break during the walk. He kindly found us first a lovely cafe where we shared breakfast and then another cafe for our mothers to sit on while we continued up the hill. He was totally unfazed and kind, and could not have been more helpful. We chose to have lunch with him and he took us to an absolutely lovely, well priced and delicious cafe. I asked a question at the end of the tour and he remembered and sent me additional information on the topic later. Cannot recommend me enough!!Posted on Natasha MuslihTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. As a travel planner and trip host, I am always on the lookout for great guides who can offer something a little different from the usual tours, so I am very happy to have found Cedric. I recently hosted a small group tour of Paris for travellers who have already visited the city several times. Cedric guided my group through the covered passages of Paris, and shared facts and tidbits some of our even hard-core francophiles didn't know. He is knowledgeable and engaging; someone who knows his stuff and loves to share it.Posted on Evžen WybitulTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I have to second the other reviews. Cédric was a great, helpful, and knowledgeable guide. Most importantly, he was genuinely nice to spend the 4-ish hours with!Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
