About the Coulée Verte Private Tour
True haven of peace, this flowery walkway located off the beaten track also known as the Coulée Verte, is mostly unknown to tourists and even to some of the local residents!
Once a railway to Chateau de Vincennes
This gem takes place on a former railway path which used to connect Paris to the Eastern suburbs. Among them, the royal town of Vincennes and the beautiful Marne river banks.
Creation of the Coulée Verte
Obsolete in the 1960s, this derelict rail district underwent a full repurpose in the 1980s. The train station was turned into an opera, the former royal hunting grounds turned into a public park, and the railway was turned into the Coulée Verte.
A little-known fact is that Paris High Line was the main inspiration for New York City’s High Line walk open in the 2000s!
The Coulée Verte Private Tour
On this tour, we’ll change our perspective on the city from the elevated path on a viaduct, cross gardens, tunnels and residential areas while enjoying a very local atmosphere of the surroundings. On the menu: beautiful craft workshops, a very lively open-air food market in the morning or an exciting cultural third space in the afternoon.
Note that, periodically, this tour is open to small public groups as well #41 The Coulée Verte Public Tour
